About AfterLight

"AfterLight" is the name of a private photography club for serious photographers who want to improve their art by studying and critiquing each other's work. The club was formed in 2000 and still meets regularly today, although several of the members have moved away from the immediate area.

By happy coincidence (?), the AfterLight name works very well for my new interest in photographing the night sky. This really began around the same time, but it wasn't until 2005 that I had the time and resources to seriously pursue astro photography. I still do traditional photography and although astro photography is consuming most of my time, I am certainly much more a photographer than an astronomer. The sciences of astronomy and astrophysics are fascinating and I am always happy to learn more about it, but it is the fantastic imagery that keeps me up at night - literally!

This site contains both my traditional and astro photography images, all of which are original. I also do some stereoscopic (3D) photography and self-published a book of stereoscopic nudes, which is also presented. Prints of most images are available in various sizes. Click here for a price list.
