"Across the Coast"

I started doing a series of images with human appendages inserted into coast scenes.  The idea fell apart, but I still like this one example.  The textures in the hand and wood are interesting, but it is the huge depth that makes it unusual.  Of course, I cheated a bit on the depth of field:  It is really a composite of two images, one focused on the hand and the other on the background.
