The title "Contrasts" is meant to signify more than the obvious high-contrast nature of the image.  The stark lighting begins the theme that is exaggerated by post processing.  I also applied a soft focus filter that combines sharpened and blurred images (more evident in a larger print).  All of this reflects the emotional contrast of a relaxed pose that belies unmistakable tension.
