This scene is of a courtyard within an enormous castle in Kyoto.  I knew this would be one of my best shots on this trip as soon as I spotted it and I wanted to capture it with the Mamiya 645.  But I did not have the wide-angle lens at that time and could not get a decent composition with the 80mm lens.  They also did not let me bring my tripod into the castle, so image quality might have been limited anyway.  So I just shot it with the Olympus C-3000 and hoped for the best.  The sky is blown to white and the focus is soft on the left side, but I still consider it a success.
