Cave Nebula

The Cave Nebula in constellation Cepheus is a complex region containing emission, reflection, and dark nebulosity. This shot really doesn't do it justice. It was shot on 10/26/2011 at Wa'chur'ed Observatory while I was waiting for Orion to come up. I used a hydrogen-alpha filter for the red channel, plus green and blue filters for their corresponding channels. When I get the chance I'll shoot this again from a dark sky site.
